Been awhile since I've started a post as it's been really hectic around the place for quite some time, but a little down time over Xmas and getting some projects well underway allowed me to pull out the camera and take some shots.
I've never liked the size of the kerfed linings that are sized for guitars going into something as small as a ukulele, so have usually made solid linings for my own, or made custom sized kerfed ones. But after a good buy on some ods and sods of various linings on the OLF Swap meet many months ago I decided that many of them weren't good enough for guitars, but just right for ukuleles I picked out a small amount of the stash and after thinking about what I wanted to accomplish and trying a couple different machining operations I settled on using my Stew Mac fret slotting blade to slice these guitar linings approximately in half thus doubling my lining inventory and giving me something much more appropriately sized for a uke.

Used all those methods as well Ernie. I'm doing a cutaway tenor right now and the curves around the horn are very tight indeed and some of the pieces need to be individually shaped and glued in as tentellones in that area.

Yep - Essentially homebuilt Squiglewood. Great stuff

Just showing off Rod.
And no, I've not tried that one yet, but will the next time around. Though I'm not sure it will be enough, as on a tenor uke, those bends are REALLY tight.
Thanks for the tip.
