I don't know that Jim is going to say about the tone category of Tiger but I will now put it right up there with BRW. My black L-OO is finally opening up and it is clear to me that with an Adi top it would sound very much like my BRW OM.
Jim is really not IMHO a factory. There is still great personal attention to every guitar by Jim himself he just has developed methods and the assistance needed to produce around 65 per year.
Jim has something else going for him. He was really the first luthier in my view who gained great acceptance for producing guitars that make ALL factory guitars pale in comparison. I played, for over an hour, and Olsen and man did it sing. They are a little heavy for my liking but tonally they are superb.
When I think of the Taylor tune "Sweet Baby James" I doubt that James had Jim in mind but he would deserve this title for his superb guitars.......
I used Olsen in decent, not perfect shape, goes currently in the US with a suppressed disposable income atmosphere for around $10K US paddy water dollars.
