Starting to get to the pointy end of this one. It's Lutz Spruce from Shane Neifer on Honduran Rosewood back and sides with Cocobolo bindings. Ebony fingerboard and Braz bridge.

What neck joint Bob?Dovetail or bolt on M&T?

Hi bob, i was just wondering what size your your lower x brace is at is largest point? (the one that is right under the bridge plate also what is your upper x brace size?

Also how is your end block glued up? is it just face glued onto end grain?
or is it solid?

The neck joint is a butt joint Michael. the neck is solid one piece with an extension that fits in the body cavity.

I've taken to inserting stainless rods and hex screws in the heel to attach the neck.

Rye - those lower X braces are very small - 3mm x 5mm - being a lattice they don't need to be very big to be strong.

The main X Brace is 13mm x 6mm.

Will you use a screw to help hold the extension to the soundboard so it isn't floating.SS is always a good thing.
ON another topic , how goes the Mac?

No screw. The extension just sits in the pocket.

Mac is going fine. I'm just trying to find applications that'll replace what I was doing on PC. Backlit LED screen is great.

I'm impressed with the hardware . Getting those two threads lined up in the round stainless ain't easy. Nice work on the bracing and soundboard design too Bob.

Nice work Bob, what can I say, bolt on neck.

I like the headstock and the way the tuner holes get closer towards the top of the head as I assume the strings travel over the nut straighter than a Martin style head.

I recently got to have a look and a tap on some Honduran Rosewood sets. The sustain from a light tap would put a horn on a jellyfish.

Honduran Rosewood is one of my favourites Liam.

Unfortunately it's already appendix 3 listed on CITES so it's just a matter of time before it gets listed on appendix 2 and becomes difficult to get across borders.

Grab some while you still can.

Cocobolo is in the same boat.
