Blackwood Baby!

Post by Hesh1956 » Sun Jul 12, 2009 6:12 am

It's here... :cl :fff

My Blackwood arrived safe and sound AND pretty fast too from our dear leader... :D Bob! Thank You Bob!!!

This is five sets of beautiful Blackwood from Bob Connor. Surprisingly it only took about a week to get here and it would have taken a day less if I spent less time on the crapper when the mail lady delivers...

Take a peek:

And here it is safely stickered with it's very own zoot shelf:

Thanks again Bob!!! :cl :cl :cl :cl :cl

Nick buddy my 4th guitar was a Blackwood/Adi OM and I liked how it sounded so very well it was my personal guitar for a couple of years. About a year ago someone else fell in love with it so I gave it to them.

Anyway I want that sound back so I have two plans for this wood. Another personal guitar for me and of course I will be building guitars for sale out of this beautiful wood too.

Excellent! Looking forward to seeing them re-incarnated into soundboxes under your expert hands  My last build used Blackwood and I agree with you on the sound, just seems to have a bit of 'sparkle' or life to it.
