I think it's fantastic I too cant stay on the same thing for I get distracted by the slightest thing If i recall a report card at school all those years ago stated Spasmodic behavior I'l wear that I love making tools and jigs I rarely use . nice work there cheers,John.

Well Mooshala as also an amateur builder I have this same issue of guitars littering the house. So after some serious thought, and the fact that my recent steel string got such rave reviews from some serious players I have decided that it is time to let some of them out into the world. Some I will give away but my next build I will try to sell. At a price to cover the costs of materials plus a bit.

I want to make better guitars which means making more of them, trying to improve. So they've got go somewhere!

Great images Graham. Those are going to be nice instruments. I especially love the segmented rosette with the graduated dots and strips. Very inventive.
Can you tell us about the technique of putting solid strips of lining over the top of the kerfing? It looks good. Any other advantages in your experience?

Hi Mark,
I've been doing that to stiffen the joint/side. Especially when using standard Kerfed linings, they don't add any strength, but after the band goes over them, the side is just as stiff as three layers of solid wood.
And I find easier to do. Try it and let me know what you think.
