Not that I'm aware of Lillian. I get my denatured alchohol from and industrial chemical supply that is just around the corner from my work. Smallest quantity is 4 litres for what I think was $40+ last time I got it. Much better quality than the hardware brand I had first tried. That stuff had so much water in it that the shellac wouldn't even dissolve. Same shellac in this stuff no worries.

In South Australia its sold under the Southwark or Westend brand names. :mrgreen:

Well that explains where moonshine was so, um, prolific, in the South.

Have to wonder if that is where the word potent came from. It does derive from a Middle English word.
