Here is the one I am fiddling with, look familiar? There are some nice repairs to the sides and some pretty gluey repairs to top brace ends and cracked X brace. Heaps of unpaired cracks in the top and back as well as a few more to do on the sides. A bridge that has a saddle slot of almost 1mm deep. I am guessing circa 1940's all that rib bracing is retro fit as there are two pieces left of the original cloth rib reinforcing and one of the cloth remnants is under one of the retro fit rib braces.

Yep, that one has had a few repairs as well by the looks of it, the colour of the wood shows some definet age to the instrument.
The piss poor bridge plates of the day, leave a lot to be desired

For those who may be interested,
I have a photo of the job from when we had finished it.
Very happy with how it finished up, it retained that look of originality and we did not end up destroying the tone on this old girl
This photo had a temporary saddle fitted, the final job ended up with a saddle that flows through to the wings, will see if I have a photo laying around of that one
