I just got a pound of uke wire delivered from Stewmac (0764-LB) which is 35 pieces or 96ft, for $50, enough to last me for a long while. Is that what you were asking?

Cheers

Hi Kim, I'm just organising with Jescar how to deliver this and then costs per LB can be calculated along with discounts, I will have prices asap
Although the weekend will cause a short delay :)

I'm interested in a pound. Do they do the 0.23 Stew Mac tang width?

Alan,This advice is from Jeff Silver at Jescar.

"One small point to correct the post from ozziebluesman about the "Stew Mac tang width". They recommend a fret slot of 0.023" (0.58mm) for the fret wire with a tang of 0.020" (0.51mm). Most of our fret wire has the same tang width for the recommended 0.023" fret slot, so no problem installing at all."

I have spoken with Sebastiaan who organised the last group buy years ago through the same company, he tells me that there were problems with some different tangs widths that didn't suit some members preferred Kerf, so everyone that wants in, please be sure you look at the Jescar website and know what you are ordering, apparently this last group buy went well and Sebastiaan speaks highly of how Jeff Silver at Jescar handled things.it seems that it all ended well.

http://www.shop.jescar.com/EVO-Gold_c5.htm

Also for anyone that hasn't provided a jescar product number, I am assuming that you are after FW43080 EVO Gold wire this has a crown width 2.03mm and crown height 1.09mm and I think is fairly standard for acoustic guitars.

I hope to have a price by early next week.

Any Questions ? feel free to PM me.

Thanks John, but I could do 20 group buys and that still wouldn't repay the help that you have given me over the years :D

Yep your confirmed Alan ( ozziebluesman ) your on the list at #13 I believe :D

Bob Connor was involved in the last fret wire group buy and has advised as did Sebastiaan that everyone be sure with regard to Tang width,( Know Your Kerf width ) apparently the last buy some ended up with wire where the tang was too wide for their saw, they stress to be fastidious about this.
I have therefore asked Jeff Silver to point out any wire that does not require a .023 Kerf and I will PM the individual that ordered it to check. hopefully that's Fastidious enough :D

Jeff has offered us a percentage discount off list price provided that we have a combined order of 20Lb or more and he ships that in at least 5lb lots, I'm just waiting on a shipping quote.

I didn't want to broadcast to the world what the discount is, so I will PM everyone involved just the Discount amount :)

Wire list prices are FW 43080-Evo $81 US, less Discount, plus shipping to Australia (Your Share), plus shipping within Australia if applicable.
The Other wires list prices are

nnickusa,1 x FW 43080-NS $45 US, less Discount, plus shipping to Australia (Your Share), plus shipping within Australia

Nutsdan 2x FW 47104-Evo @ $90 US per pound less Discount, plus shipping to Australia (Your Share), plus shipping within Australia

I will return when I have have the shipping quote. :D

I should also point out that Jescar has 2 prices one for quantities 5Lb and over and less than 5Lb so those ordering wire like FW 43808-evo will get an additional discount because we have more than 5lb but someone like nutsdan who has ordered 2lb of FW 47104-Evo is being hit with the higher list price. Well I thinks that's right :D I'm waiting on confirmation.

If Anyone involved didn't get a PM with the discount amount will you let know.
