I have so far laid on a second coat of C.A. and now want it to cure fully before sanding back and doing some abrasive testing , although a quick fingernail test reveals a pretty hard sort of surface .
What I'm really after ,is to not have a " finish" on the board ( as in those horrible laquer coated Fender maple fretboards ) The gloss/finish turns me off.
I would prefer the board to have a natural wood appearance , and appear the same as most fretboards .My objective is to have the C.A. soak below the surface and thereby harden the fretboard , and then remove the surplace of C.A. on the very top of the surface itself to get rid of that laquer look.Hope that makes sense !

I'll be patient ,and give it plenty of time to firm up first
Cheers and appreciated Steve !
