Jon Shub of Shub Guitars in Melbourne has lost his workshop in a suspicious fire that spread from another business next to his workshop.
Jon has lost everything in the fire which also destroyed Head Gap Studio.
If you've got a few spare pennies here's the link to a fundraiser to help Jon get back on his feet.

SHUB GUITARS - FIRE AND FUNDRAISER
Re: SHUB GUITARS - FIRE AND FUNDRAISER
Don't know if he carried insurance, but it never covers enough, and a small business is always going to have trouble covering the gap. Hope he is able to get back on his feet - contribution made.

Thanks Bob......much appreciated.
The fire started in a neighbouring burger joint and is suspicious. As noted above Head Gap Studio also went up.

Re: SHUB GUITARS - FIRE AND FUNDRAISER
Hi,
I did not know of Shubb guitars, but regardless, I can imagine what it would feel like to lose a whole workshop and a livelihood.
I just did 3 guitar repairs for a customer, a sizable bill, he insisted on paying hundreds of dollars over what I asked, So I've passed some of it on.
Good luck for the future.
Cheers Taff
