Shipping between Aus and NZ

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at getting a refret and Plek at Port Mac Guitars in Australia. I live in New Zealand and I'm wondering how shipping works? Do I have to pay import duties on an guitar if it is just going into the country for a week to have some repair work done? I don't know how import duties work in Australia, just looking for some advice.

Might be easier just taking a short holiday to Australia and hand carrying the guitar there and back.
