Emails are now working again

Hi Folks

Emails can now be sent from the board.

There was a change in the security settings of a new version of PHP, which is the programming language with which the forum is programmed, which restricted where emails could be sent.

I've hacked some lines of code in the email send functions of the forum so the functionality is now restored.

If you are suddenly getting notifications for posts to which you are subscribed this is the result.

I've not been able to log in for well over six months due to a forgotten password... Tried every darn thing I could think of.

But password reset requests were never coming through despite several attempts. Nor seemingly were emails getting to "admin" with a problem requesting help, because I tried that avenue more than once too! So many times I wanted to comment on a thread but could only watch from the outside. Gah.

Then I saw this email post and thought maybe, just maybe... Password reset again... VOILA!!

I was starting to think I'd been banned
