back thickness.
I am wondering about back thickness and stiffness. Opinions please. I am wondering how the back affects the tone of the mid and higher frequencies. Even a non live back has an effect...The stiffness can be taken care of with bracing, the other variations are the thickness/stiffness of the plate and the species of the wood. These can be measured, but making a connection between the measurements and the tonal quality is where experience comes in....anyone care to share?
