Not dead - Just Busy
Hi Guys (& Gals),
Been a long time since I've posted here (though I look in often) so I thought I'd just give a quick "G'day".
I'm still spending some time in the workshop though not as much as I used to.
My sons are hitting the teenage years and I'm basically a single dad now Mon -Fri so my time is pretty much spoken for.
When I do get time off it's usually spent with my new girl.
Despite all this, I have been able to continue building.
I still get orders for my falcate braced concert ukes (using a low G string) and I'm still plodding away on the acoustic bass guitar.
Oh, and I'm considering selling he 14" Bandsaw I bought afew yeras ago from Paul (Ozwood).
I've barely used it since making the hollow body surboard a couple of years ago.
Here's the thread from when Paul put it up for sale, if anyone's interested let me know.

Thanks Richard, she is a nice bike.
Although the original factory map made her a bit cantankerous at times.
I was calling her The Shrew for a while.
Got that sorted now thanks to the Guzzi online community (kinda like you guys here).
Funnily enough, her happy spot is right about 4000

Re: Not dead - Just Busy
I surprised you can find your bike at night Craig.
Life is good when you are amongst the wood.

I don't ride at night anymore - too many close calls with Roos & Wombats in the last 10 years here in 'Berra.
But then the 20 years before that commuting on a bike in Sydney & Brisbane were worse for animals on the roads.

Nice Guzzi yup love my V twin aprilia so many dammed distractions repaired an acoustic base a while ago thought about a build and then got six forks on the path to somewhere else
John ,of way too many things to do.
Re: Not dead - Just Busy
I was loaned an Aprilia Mana for a few weeks.
It surprised me.
I wasn't expecting to enjoy an automatic motorcycle, but it was heaps of fun!

woo hoo a bike thread, about bldy time!!
I took my gixxer in for a service today and they give me this as a loaner - more fun than a barrel full of drunk monkeys
My main ride.....
to misquote someone else on here...life is good when you're amongst the gravel....
Plenty of time to build guitars when its cold and wet outside.

Bikes.....I lost my passion for the things after dropping a Honda 500-4 on a roundabout in Christchurch, New Zealand back in the 70's. Granted it was the middle of winter and the roundabout was covered in black ice but riding bikes was never quite the same after that crash.
