Father - Daughter Build.

My Daughter Was showing an interest in playing guitar and as a result was playing mine.
I suggested we build one together.
So the deal is that when she gives me some time we work on her guitar together. I didn't want to end up doing it all for her.
So far we have the body complete with the binding channels cut ready to glue the binding/purfling.
The body is Tasmanian Blackwood with Spruce top. Figured Blackwood binding (Thanks Tim) with Heringbone purfling.
I bent one side and she did the other. I didn't have to fix it This was her first go at bending. she did an awesome job. very satisfying.

Hey Ross, your family are really making luthery the family thing at the moment - with a guitar for your brother recently and now the daughter getting into the action. It looks like she is a natural. I have made guitars with both of my sons, it is a great bond.

Nice looking instrument too. I love the mosaic rosette.

Thanks Jim. She wanted random bits of wood for rosette. The gobar deck is the best thing.

Yeah it's a ripper. just light galv pipe. probs 3mm wall, add a bit of restriction on the outlet but goes real good.
