Any good for free plate tuning using Chladni patterns?

Re: Look what I scored
Very cool!
Congratulations, you got your's for much less money than I paid for mine.
For getting easy and reasonably accurate frequency readings the dial scale is definitely a bit on the low side of what I would call comfortable working. I have added a frequency counter to my setup.
The cheap frequency counter which I have incorporated in the box...

... does its job only well if I switch it on while the frequency I want to measure is already generated, but not if I sweep through frequencies where it tends to be off by +/- 5 Hz (compared to the readings with a calibrated and much more expensive (and bigger) frequency counter that I now usually use on the rare occasions when I do Chladni pattern tests). I don't do free plate tuning though, I am only interested in Chladni patterns of finished guitars, and only measure frequency responses (via spectrum analyzer) of rectangular plates before thicknessing.

jjh: Looks good to me. It seems to have audible frequency range so likely a super score. Except.............does it work?

It works well at the moment I'm unsure that it has enough power to test a guitar, but I have an old hifi amp that does the trick if not
