Going Out on a Limb

Post by KLW » Sat Jan 04, 2014 8:38 am

So here is what I have been working on up north here (Canada)

A Fan-fret, guitar shaped, pin bridged Mandocello - 26.25 bass and 24.75" treble scales

Oregon Myrtle & Sitka spruce with Espave Neck and Rosewood bits...

I'm at that point where it's getting close to done & the nerves are getting worse.. :dru

Hoping the darn thing holds together when all is said & done......

Looking good. Must have been fun setting out and cutting the fret slots on the fingerboard?

LOL Well it was not too bad I printed a template from http://www.ekips.org/tools/guitar/fretfind2d/ and used that as a guide.. of course I just spent time setting up to cut regular frets on a table saw and then could not use my nw jig etc for this build .. ha typical,,,
