I usually use Gotoh tuners but like the look of those Hipshot open back jobs, I feel they would suit my small guitars well with that sort of modern old school look, has anyone used them? They seem like a quality product but how would I know without ever using them. Would anyone here recommend them?

Re: Hipshot
I've got 2 Acoustics underway that are using the Hipshot open gear locking tuners.
They are impressive for finish smoothness and lack of backlash
They do use a smaller hole size from the front.
All the hipshot products I have used over the years have been great

Re: Hipshot
Thanks Jeff, a recommendation from a man who massages his guitars before they go to his customer will do me fine, I'm off to Ebay.

Re: Hipshot
I love them Jim. I use them on some models of my tenors and baritones and the only one I use on the bass. On a parlour size guitar, they would be my first choice.

Re: Hipshot
Sounds good, cheers guys. Thanks for the typo Allen
. I have had to ask the Ebay guy for a invoice as I am not sure about those stock buttons so will grab a few spare sets of buttons to see what I like most, will buy them tomorrow provided he gets back to me.
