Hi to you all,
I have a new Kona Lap Slide guitar proto-type build on the bench at the moment. The originals where built in the 1920s the same time a Weissenborn. The Kona differs from a Weissenborn as it has a smaller body size 13.5 inch lower bout but it is 4" deep instead of 3" like weiss. I have a tracing of the body outline and a few measurements that I have found through research on the internet. I also have a book that was compiled by Tom Noe that has chartered the history of the weissenborn, kona, harp guitars of the 1920s. It is full of great info and pictures but it does not have the sound hole dimension of a Kona guitar.
So this is a real shot in the dark if anyone knows this dimension or could put me in contact with someone who might. An owner of an original would be ideal.
Thanks in advance and I know this is a real long shot request.
Cheers
Alan

Re: Kona Lap Slide Sound Hole size
Update on the Kona information.
My friend and expert in the field of Weissenborn instruments Tony Francis in New Zealand provided me with the measurement I needed. Thanks very much Tony.
All good to go now.
Cheers
