Condoms in Lutherie [Recycling Topic]

Post by Taffy Evans » Fri Dec 07, 2012 8:33 pm

Not really but now that I have your attention......I was staining this old banjo and the sunburst on a guitar the other day and found the the box of rubber gloves I had were falling apart as I put them on. So I cut the fingers out and used them instead, but I had to roll them off and had a chuckle to myself.

So what happens to the rest of the rubber glove? Water proof udder covers for Taff's house cow?

As the Padma always says: "If it gets the pig clean, use it." I chuckled, too. Glad you posted the pics.

Yes, now instead of a box of useless rubber gloves, I have a jar of usable rubber finger thingies. Maybe I should have stored the gloves in a large preserving jar a long time ago.
