Nice machines John.
I have one of the first ones you put the link to,the twin head one, it came with a 80 and 120 grit fitted. It worked ok with that on it but was easy to get burns when it wore out a little.
I just changed them over to 60 grit on both rolls and look at this machine as a means to thickness only from 4mm down. its great.
The timber goes to the bench to be scraped and fine sanded . scraping after sanding is a little bit of a no no in my book ,but it's what ever get you there when it comes to the cranky timbers.

Yes Rob,...nice machines...I wish I had one myself...will have to get by with the Preformax 16/32 for a while yet though...

One of those machines has been relisted at $200 lower than before...If you are the only one to bid you could get it for well less than 1/2 price....

The other one was popular...it attracted 24 bids and went for $765...not bad for something that just needed a belt adjustment....:) Well done whoever got it....perhaps an ANZLFer...
