Spider Silk Strings

Reported in New Scientist this week; some bloke in Japan has invented spider silk violin strings. Each string is made from up to 15000 filaments. I bet the blokes eyes are well and truly rooted by now.

They can't say how much they're gonna cost, but they won't be cheap.
