I have not yet tried it out, and maybe I never will*. But the glue pot system (heat source is a bending iron) which Makoto Tsuruta presents on his CRANE website looks pretty cool. It is my 2nd-favourite glue pot system after Matthew's (based on a clothes iron) which I also have not tried out yet.
Like many others of you I have browsed through the english written part of the CRANE website quite some time ago and return from time to time, but never really tried to dive into the japanese written sections. Today I have it a go and using the google translator some of the text (not everything) even makes sense. Try to understand the hardly or non understandable parts of the automatic translation would be lost time though. Fortunately, Makoto Tsuruta's expresses his personal regarding the usability of his tools in internationally understandable star ratings.
*I already have two own "creations" - nothing special but they both do their job.

Re: CRANE glue pot system
The best glue pot I have found locally is an ALDI chocolate melter. They only get them in once a year or so. They have two heat settings, the first keeps the little aluminium pan with water in at close to 140F, and they cost $15 last time they were in stock. Worth watching out for if you have an ALDI supermarket nearby.
