Ok.....first post.
I've been popping in here from time over the last 6 months or so, admiring the work at hand, and enjoying the banter....
Now it's my turn to show something to you guys.....
This old National Trojan had been in a box under a bed for 35 years before a mate of mine found it, and became it's second owner...(long story)
So here she is.....

G'day Doug,

Welcome to the forum. That is a mightly fine old resonator guitar and a great restoration job. I would love to hear that one sing with a tone bar.

That's just awesome. Nice work.

I've got my eye on a National Reso at a local pawn brokers. Too scared to ask the price 'cause if it's cheap enough I'll have to explain it to the missus.

I've been trying to get the guy I did it for, to do a little clip / sound file for me.....he plays really nice, and the old Trojan sounds excellent!
I'm hoping for a combination of the two some time in the not too distant future.
I've got my eye on a National Reso at a local pawn brokers. Too scared to ask the price 'cause if it's cheap enough I'll have to explain it to the missus.
Do it, you won't regret it.....as far as explanations go, well, you had to rescue it from an unknown fate.... :roll:

Allan, I'm about a 2 hour drive north of Cairns, up near Cape Tribulation...this time of year...just spectacular!

Yeah, round neck as opposed to the square neck ones... like a baseball bat...but you soon get used to it.
