Hi Allen,

Thanks for the comments. The bug is certainly entrenched after building the uke. I have plans to build a Gibson l-00 style acoustic. Probably with bunya top and qld maple back and sides. I am glad I found this forum their is a wealth of knowledge on here.

Thanks,
Klufty

G'day Klufty and welcome to the forum.

Nice looking uke.

You need to talk to Hesh about L00's.

I've played his Tiger Myrtle/Lutz L00 and it's sensational.

Welcome to the forum Kluf, hope you like it here. Nice job on the little axe :cl :cl :cl You say it's your first :? Damn good effort in that case! I like your combinations of curly woods, what is the bridge material you've used?

Thanks for the comments. It was great to build the uke and finally play it. The uke was a xmas git for my brother in law. It turned out so well I almost kept it for myself. All the wood is Oz blackwood. Fantastic timber from Aust Tonewoods. Excellent product and service. Sealed with egg whites and the finish is just cabots spray gloss poly from bunnings. 9 coats in all and the fingerboard and the bridge were finished in lemon oil. Thanks again and i look forward to seeing everyone else projects. :D
