I've worried about him (his health) a lot lately, too. I've got the Clapton book now and it has the Craig Lawrence bookmark with it, so I'm often thinking of him. Craig was the first person to respond to my first post back on the OLF, in the good old days, so I have a special connection with him. Hope all is well. BTW, I enjoyed reading all the Aussie comments in the book.

Appreciate your concern Sebastiaan , Martin and Ron. but as you can see I'm still alive and kicking !
I've recently completed my Chemotherapy treatment and I'm still getting over that . Still some remains , so I'm to have Radiology treatment in a few weeks which I'm told will clean up the remaining cancer.
Haven't been able to do too much in the workshop ,although I've been able to construct two ( adjustable ) necks which I've further developed from my original design .
I've also managed to design and build a new portable bench mounted guitar vise . I'm very happy with it's performance. It's simple to use and overcomes problems other types have. Easy to build, it's very sturdy and grips the body by the guitar's sides, without puting pressure on the top or back plates. I'll post some pics when I can.

You've been on my mind of late Craig. I'm really not well at being unwell myself, and don't care for people always asking me how I'm doing, so I'm rather uneasy about asking others the very thing that doesn't sit well with me. Thanks for popping in an giving us an update.
I'm very pleased indeed that you are making good progress on the health front, and have the energy and motivation to be in the workshop. I can't help but wonder if the new guitar vise is going to be sporting some sort of inlay since you've had a bit of time on your hands.
Really good to hear from you mate.

Craig, it's nice to hear that you're doing better and that the creative juices are still flowing. Can't wait to see the pics of the guitar vise (vice?...na, none of that in lutherie). What other mindbending lutherie jigs are in the works as well if I might ask?

Hey Craig, wishes for health coming from up above! No, not heaven, heavens no! How would I know what those blokes with wings and harps are thinking? I mean the opposite of Down Under.
Do all the good stuff for yourself, to keep yourself strong: laugh, sing, play music, drink clean water, get lots of rest, eat the best fruits and veggies you can find...
Take care,
