Our Craig Lawrence?

Post by Ron Wisdom » Mon Sep 01, 2008 11:15 pm

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but I was looking through my latest LMI catalog and saw one of Craig's flamed myrtle guitars. It's in there twice. There is a large photo of it on page 8, and this LMI catalog is in full glorious color. Beautiful guitar Craig, and a nice tribute to have it published.

That's fantastic Ron , thanks for telling me about it. Chris from L.M.I asked me to send some pics some time back. They were to use it on the front cover , but my low pixel camera didn't offer enough quality for a front page picture.

Last I knew , they had shelved the idea , so hearing this ,I'm thrilled to bits ( big understatement !!   )

A massive thanks to L.M.I. for sending me such wonderful wood . Luckily , I bought two sets with the other being very similar.

I don't know what pictures they have used as I haven't got the catalogue, but here is one pic I sent ,I thought they may have used

I'm absolutley wrapped ,and as I'm about to start a Chemotherapy program this Friday , It's just the lift I needed. YOOO HOOO !!

Craig you have really done that beautiful set of wood justice! Congratulations on a fine 12 string build. A real feather in your cap featuring in the LMI cattledog! All the best too with your health issues.

Cheers

Much appreciated Martin ,Waddy ,Kim , Paul and Alan. I was telling my good mate Paul all about this some time back and how I should have bought a better camera . I was lucky to get the pics published at all ! That's what you get for being such a cheap arse

Bob's post on what camera to buy is very relevant !

Regards the health thing , I'm not concerned at all , as I already have the bloody thing licked from the getgo.

Can't wait to see the catalogue . I've emailed Chris for a copy , Pronto ! :wh

Cheers Guys

Kudos Craig. There aren't many that get the opportunity to have their work featured like that. The guitar is a beauty, but given the choice, I'd take that little slice of heaven than the guitar is propped up in. Is that on your property?

Cheers

Those three look like they're eyeing up some sheep. No wonder they've got such big smiles on their faces.

Thanks for all your good wishes guys ( and funny pics !  )

Yeah , it certainly was a buzz including my guitar in their catalogue Dom. and yes I do feel honoured Grant. Thanks guys

Not many are on to the camouflage trick Bob . I'm wondering how you knew about it ,,,, Hmmmmm, Tasmania has sheep

I may have to take a short break from the woolly ones, but given another six months , they won't know what hit em' :wh

My hair is going to go, so thought I might go for a dreadlock wig ( made of wool of course , to give me that constant aroma of a loved one  )

Geez Steve, ,, I can see the likeness !

Martin , Chris said the catalogues are in the mail. I'll be carrying a copy with me at all times from now on , just in case anyone out there missed it !

I heard this morning that they have bought my treatment forward to tomorrow morning ( Thursday ) Yikes !

I luv yas all !

Cheers Guys

No dont get a wollen wig....youll be spending all day trying to shag the bldi thing.

Loose the locks mate and enjoy the feel of the breeze on your naked nut. Head down to the pub and marvel at the throngs of women who flock to check out your shiney nut.

Middle aged and bald.....its the best way to be!!

Might as well get it over and done with. The sooner you finish the chemo the sooner you can get back in the workshop.

Keep us posted on progress....
