Depends on the guitar as a whole of course. Can you pan back and take another pic of the whole top and po...

Naptha for removing oil

Okay Ive got a French Polish job here thats turning nasty on me. The shellac surface has a few minute breaks appearing in it. Its not an issue with shellac or the oil itself..both have been changed. The most likely culprit is some olive oil that has somehow gotten into the rosewood pores..possibly d...

That explains it, I went to uni more than ten years ago. Should have written about it then, now it would be the "Burns Theory". Well, maybe not, never did go for that naming crap after yourself thing. When I first started studying Geology, Plate Tectonics wasnt widely taught...even though Wagner ha...

Not a new theory, its probably at least 10 years old now but for numerous reasons hasnt received much publicity. Stephen Jay-Gould was a gifted scientist and writer with a knack of being able to explain some pretty complex scientific in a way that the layman can understand. He's written a truckload ...

You're right about one thing here bro and it is that there is a huge fossil record to choose our bones from, the only problem is, there is no evidence of transitional form, not just a missing link but a missing chain everywhere in the whole fossil record. Hey there Serge, Being a Geologist Im duty ...

An outstanding instrument Craig....the work on the inside of the guitar is incredible. Pity it's all a bit hard to see once the top goes on.

Now, back out to the workshop to carry on with my 12 string, a dowdy instrument compared to your work of art.

What Craig has neglected to mention is that his girlie hair hygrometer needs a shampoo at least once every two days and after each shampoo session it needs to sit wrapped in a towel for at least 3 hours.
