This a great loss also to me. Their range of general and special items that LMI have grown was great. I will miss not being able to purchase some of their quality products that will now be harder to find elsewhere.

Installation of the LR Baggs Hi Fi and Lyric Microphone Custom Blend System on new Guitar Build

On a previous posting: ‘Pickup for falcate classical or steel string by JurgenV, 19th April 2023’ , I indicated that on my next guitar build that I would be installing the new ‘L R Baggs Hi Fi Pickup System’ and the ‘L R Baggs Lyric Microphone’ together as a customised blend system. I have now compl...

I am also familiar with the no money problem. I repaired, restored and fitted new strings to a very old Maton classical style guitar. I trusted the client, however, after sending the invoice three times over a three month period of grace I never got paid. I learn my lesson about how to handle the mo...

Re: semi hemispherical fretting

Recently, I have installed Hemi Spherical shaped frets onto a fretboard. The fretboard is attached to the bolt on neck. I created a Measuring Template for measuring the lengths of the Hemi Spherical frets. The installation onto the fretboard was achieved with an even 0.5mm offset from the outer edge...

Re: Trouble Build

Martin It must be frustrating not yet being able to resolve the woof note issues. Could there be a small area where the bridge is attached to the top having a spot location with a gap between the bridge and the top causing this problem?

Radius the Fretboard using the Router Table

I have been using a sanding radius block to shape my fretboards and this takes a long time and effort to do. I have seen various router jig setups to do this task, however, I recently saw a youtube showing a router table with a 'Precision Radiusing Router Bit' to radius the fretboard. There are a nu...
