For this mark-out in particular, and in fact every other mark-out undertaken when working with un-weldable woods, I highly recommend adding a KUM (no smart arse comments thanks), 2 stage, long point, pencil sharpener to your kit.... https://www.currys.com/Products/Media/fl/DMI/KUMAS2A7.jpg Bought my...

Re: Laser scanning guitar parts
One issue is, that the items need to be sprayed in a non reflective paint, "which I dont do", so this means you get lots of stray lines dots point clouds I wonder if wiping over the object to be scanned with a smear of floor wax prior to scanning would help?? If you leave the wax to dry for 5 or 10...

Sigmund, if I may address you in such a familiar way, I have long wanted to ask you if one has dreams about small bodied guitars, what is one really dreaming about? I am asking on behalf of a friend. Yoe Mike, not really sure but you may want to suggest to your friend that in order to re-adjust his...

I use a couple of pig trotters as push blocks on all of my static machinery. Shit yeah it makes a bloody mess, but so far it appears I have them all fooled.

I'll be interested in a 16/32 belt or two as well if there's going to be a mixed group buy.

Sorry to hear of the health issue Nick I can imagine your disappointment. But you've always struck me as a pretty adaptable sort of bloke so I'm sure you will carry your hand skills and creativity over to knife making very well.

Re: Left Overs Guitar
Nice little guitar Paul 8) Not sure what it is about small bodied gits but people do seem to enjoy picking them up more than a regular size guitar. Perhaps its a subconscious thing were the player simply feel more comfortable as they are less intimidated by smaller things, a groundless perception of...

Re: Just a bit of romance
Really nice work so far Rod. I have no experience with the Schaller pickups you show but have been quite happy with K&K's Pure and Western minis (3 x small buds) that I've fitted to quite a few acoustics. I've found them to be plenty powerful enough for small amp small venue solo situations and grea...

Re: Titebond Original glue
I buy TB from Masters Hardware because they have the most turn over and the lowest price. Just so folks know, the date is not the only issue. If TB, or any other PVA based glue becomes frozen (for example during transit in the cargo hold of a plane?) then it should not be trusted...how does one know...
