What glue??

Hi guys. I hope I am in the right spot for this and that it is OK to ask. I will often use an ABS binding from the likes of Stewmac. I like it. Anyway, I have been getting (buying) the glue from a friend which is fine but I am not sure it is fair for me to keep getting more when this is not his core...

Re: Editing and deleting posts

You know what? I don't get it. Isn't this whole argument about being able to take back what I have said in a post just the same as if I said it in person???? Maybe we should just take responsibility and think before submitting a post. Before you click the Submit button click Preview. Read what you h...

Re: Buyer beware???!!

Hi Guys, Well time for things in my head to settle down. I have pasted into a couple of forums. In haste sure, but I let off some steam anyway. Jeff, yes the US forum knocked it back immediately. No probs. Lilian, I think I will do as you have said. Martin, Too late. I am not gunna get bogged down i...

Re: Buyer beware???!!

Hey there. Wow! Martin. Don't know what to say. I didn't do this for sympathy, more for the good of some other unsuspecting sucker. I thank everyone for the support.

Martin, I will not stop because of this bloke. I think I might copy and paste my rant in another forum or two. Any suggestions?

Re: Buyer beware???!!

Hi everyone. Well I said I would update you all as things progressed. Things are not going too well. I fell into the childish act of calling the dipstick names. They are true, but it is something a school boy does, not someone my age. I will totally understand if the moderators choose not to ...

Re: Tassie Blackwood neck

Hey thanks Guys (gender non-specific). :) Heaps of replies. Jim: I bought the back probably two years back and Bob in Tassie will be disapointed if he reads this. I had some pressure to build and just as soon as I started getting hardware in and getting organised, everything went south. At the time ...

Re: Buyer beware???!!

Hi Guys, I am sorry. I don't mean to be random in my replies or rude. I am in and out of stuff which can keep me away for sometime. It's good that you've asked, as it's a hard lesson to find a bad vendor when you're new to the game. Ooops! Too late by 400 bills. I really feel stupid. After no...

Tassie Blackwood neck

Hi Guys, How suitable is Blackwood as a neck. An archtop back I have has been quite active. Moving around, but it seems to have settled. Another colleague was asking me what I thought of this as he was about to build and use TB for the neck and was a little apprehensive. I have no experience with it...

Buyer beware???!!

Hi everyone. I have been away for some time. By some of the banter still raging on here, nothing changes. Great! Just like your favourite spanner. Feels good.

I am not sure where to ask this so I will apologise now.

Does anybody know of and have had dealings with Alaskan Tonewood?

Re: How did you get into Guitarmaking?

Wow. Very cool place to laze around. I think I have basically done this. But mine is a mixture of Hesh's and Alen. In a library with the kids in Perth years back. Saw a book and thought, "bugger it, why not?". It took years and years of saving dollars here and there, losing it to bills, starting aga...

Re: Wood import question

Hi Bob. I will ask him, though by all accounts he seemed very ignorant, but very apprehensive at the potential loss. Understandable. He did say he tried to call Australian Customs many times from the UK. No return calls or something like that. Maybe time zone issues. He is here now so it should be m...
