Dave,

Another great looking little guitar. That four piece back sure looks like a
two piece back. Well done!

The large spruce piece below the bridge plate, caught my interest.
Is the main purpose to stiffen the top in the bridge area? Or to enhance
the "treblely" tone of the guitar.

Allen, If your parlor sets are too small for a L-00 you may want to try the L-1 that you see in the pic of Robert Johnson. The lower bout is 13 1/2". In the Gibson flat top book they say the scale length is just under 25". I plan on using the Martin 24.9" when I build myself a L-1 sometime this year...

Allen, Great looking Guitar, I love the choice of tonewoods. Nice straight grain woods, are the look of quality in my old school eyes. Ya it must of been fate with that rosette, it looks great with that redwood. Could you set me straight on what Qld. is, as in the Qld. walnut bindings. I have seen o...

Bob,

Nice wood!!! I love the way the 3rd pic looks, with the bottom of the pic being the tailblock end. Looks like a natural sunburst. The one thing that would change that thought for me, is how the sides match your choice.

Bob, I find that Native Olive back and side assembly weight as normal for a dread. I would think no more heavier than rosewood. May I inquire of the wood used for neck and tail blocks, linings, and back braces. Could be a lot of weight in those parts. I like the weight of a guitar to be balanced so ...

One vote here for no-stain. Nice match of neck and body colors.
How about doing me a favor weigh the neck and report back.
Curious after your report of a 24 oz body.
You already know this, but great looking work!

Thanks Buddy

Hesh,
No dispute here with your statement of Waverlys quality and light weight.
I found it interesting if both sets had the same metal knobs there was a difference.

Hesh,
The Waverlys you show have wood knobs, the Sta-Tites metal.
The Waverlys with the same metal knobs would weight more.
My data shows 6.18 oz or 175.20 grams. (from Stew-Mac)

Kim,
Mountain creeks like this stay cold year long, in the heat of summer this water is cold, 42 F.
You would be surprised how many nice cold beers a guy can find stuck in snags. Secure them well mates, or your neighbor is getting a free one.
Theres golden beer in them there creeks. :D
