A wise old builder told me to drill 10.5mm. It allows for dimensional variations when drilling and any swelling that occurs. Drilled my first Classical with the 10.3 supplied by Stewmac and the it had some binding in the hole that I had to emery out. Drilled the second with 10.5 and ouala, no bindin...

Truly a time saving machine to have. Alas mine sits on the bottom shelf because my work space in the garage is not large enough to mount it and keep it available all the time.

Good question Eric, All I do is use the Stewmac calculated intonation at the saddle end and then file the saddle to fine tune if needed. I can see you go to a much higher level than I do... so i will be interested the response from some gurus!!

Hey Ken, Thanks for that. Maurice in Albany used the piece from the waist and glued it on the large bout and it came up a beauty. I will do the same.
