Kauri Pine Soundboards.
Hi All, Hi Have Just acquired some really nice looking Kauri Pine sound boards, they seem to bee really stiff in both directions, and are similar in grain to Bunya , they have a Bright , glassy tap tone. Hi Aiden, I would start, as many do with a Book by Johnathon Kinkade "Build your own acoustic guitar" it comes with a set of plans for a middle sized Guitar and steps you through it. Here some Pics of the system I used, just another variation of the others also using the " prestige" style bolts , reinforced tenon and the tongue rebated back into the body . seems to work well and is fully removable.
