Re: Rosstte Log

I made my own rosette for my classical build. I stopped when i had got the component parts and then cut thin slices and built the rosette on the soundboard. There are pictures in my thread. Hi Richard Yes I looked through your thread at your rosette before I started....it looks fantastic well done!...

The first test cut. I ended up setting up a jig on the Table saw and used the Fret Saw Blade to cut the thinnest Kerf I could Get. I got it set up to be able to cut it cleanly by squaring the block and flipping it.

Rosette Log

Hi, Has anyone attempted making a rosette log to make multiple rosettes? I am in the process of replicating Michael Thames ' process of creating a rosette log to hopefully make 20 rosettes. It will feature a centre mosaic pattern as well as multiple rings and instead of a rope binding I've decided t...

Re: Alternatives to Mirotone for clear hi gloss finish

I use Wurth spray cans clear high gloss or semi gloss. Works great and really quick drying. Just put light coats on and it's really easy to work with.

Re: Quality Machine heads

I have been using Hipshot Tuners for Electric and Steel String guitars. They are solid with lots of button options. :D Rubner Tuners for classical and slotted steel headstocks. The Runner tuners with roller bearings are smooth and well built with only one fail in the last 6 years which they replaced...

Re: New guinea rosewood finger board and bridge

I have used it for both bridges and fretboards and it has worked perfectly fine. The pores are similar to Indian rosewood so no big difference there.

As far as I know you can post pics regardless of number of posts. What error message are you getting?

Double V Neck Acoustic

]Hi guys and gals....

I have been asked to build this guitar for a client. Has anyone been mad enough to build something like this? It is for a guy that can play both left and right handed. Just for reference the guitar has been named the 'double yolker'.

Can't load a pic for some reason :x
