Hey Joel, Welcome to the ANZLF mate. :D Funny you should say that about your wife and daughters hair colour, I have the exact same circumstance. Just wondering, do you think the red hair thing is natures way of giving us blokes some kind of warning?? Seems to work that way with spiders and snakes an...

Re: Billy

I think that Billy is a lesbian......... :D I'm sure he is. He's just trapped in a man's body. Well there ya go, Billy and I seem to have more in common every day, maybe its that you need just one of our freaky kind in each hemisphere to prevent the earth from spinning off its axis??? :) Cheers Kim

Does this replace the traditional adjustable truss rod then? what is the advantage of this adjustment? No, the truss rod remains to adjust the relief in the neck. This adjustment sets the neck angle, you can use it to set the action to where ever you like, and it also totally eliminates the need to...

The Angle is adjustable via bolts in the neck block. The fretboard and extension is floating and free of the soundboard, it is let into the guitar top and the heel of the neck pivots back into the neck block as it is adjusted and is let into the sides of the guitar. The mechanism is held in tension ...

Mathew,

The streaks are stained into the wood by a fungal attack, does not seem to bother the wood structure however and Tiger Myrtle has such fine grain it finishes without grain filler just fine. Fantastic wood ay.

Dennis, Nice work M8, I have been impressed by Grant's adjustable neck system since he showed it to us a couple of years back. It realy is very interesting and strikes me as being a simple yet effective approach to an age old problem, and these simple solutions seem always to be the best. His lamina...

Tim Spittle has some enormously flamed sets of Tassi Oak available and very cheap to, he done a few test bends and it was just fine, no issue at all, and the stuff rings like an RKO gong too. From memory his only cautionary note to me was to be careful of this woods potential to stain blue when glue...

BTW. What do i have to do round here to get rid of "pallet wood" under my name? Mathew, I think the pallet wood label will go when you have made more than 10 post and the tag will change to more desirable titles as you reach certain bench marks in the number of post made. Oh and welcome M8, nice to...

In the same vein as Mathew's post, I know of a very knowledgeable builder/tonewood seller in the USA who advocates NOT storing tonewood in a controlled environment. He stickers and end-grain seals his wood and allows it be exposed to all the changes that nature can throw at it, under a shed roof, fo...

Look'in great Paul,

What a classy little guitar this one will be, the slothead 000's have so much appeal but we do need some better quality pics when she's done so that we can appreciate the workmanship and that wonderful Minerrichi.
