here is my rather simple, but effective jig using hdpe for the guides...the four middle pieces cut to .300 wide the end ones are .400 wide to center in the 2 inch slot and give proper spacing..on a 1.75 inch nut.

I have done two 6 string guitars and one 12 string using Trevor's numbers, he was kind enough to send me the numbers for a 24.9 scale.. I leave the fretboard at the normal length and add a shim to the front of the nut then carefully measure and file...the results have been very good with just a few ...

I have a OM body style that I started months ago that I decided to try my hand at putting in an armrest , and now it has become my test guitar for using carbon fiber ,with an x brace design simular to picture 11-29 in Trevor's book, using carbon tow on the braces and cloth on the bridgeplate. I just strung this up tonight..I started this guitar a long time ago, its been sort of a test guitar. Great books, I do this as a hobby and have been building for a couple of years with 6 completed and a couple in the finishing stages, these books have answered a lot of questions...not to mention dispelling a few myths!!!!!
