suspended bracing

Hello Everyone: Here is a new topic about flying bracings: To start the topic I will do a very short history of them: -To my knowledge the first to use such a thing was Scherzer in the 1850’s. He used a rod of steel from neck-block to tail-block secured by a screw in the tail-block; you could adju...

" Dear Dennis: Can you explain? I personaly use a 10mm Graphite rod from tail to neck block. About in the middle of the b...

This is an original document from a German compagny with the bolted mechanism for sale. Almoust all makers used the exact same system from 1850's to 1940's.

Hello again: "So in your system the string pull is used to pull the neck up into the desired plane, while the adjusting / attaching bolt is used to adjust the amount of pitch that the neck is allowed to move?" Dear Allen: Yes the string pull keeps the neck from moving. Even on a classical guitar you...

Hello all: I'm a guitar maker from Belgium. I have been using a very simple neck bolt in my last guitars: The neck has a 1cm deep neck pocket with the size of the neck to hide the gape between the neck heel and the body. The neck wood rest against a 1mm thick ebony veneer at the top (to prevent to b...
