Tom, I do the truss rod adjustment at the soundhole end and it has worked out fine. Just need to use the longer rods to reach the end of the fingerboard extension.

So, OK, hope my comments did not slow down this interesting topic. Lots of good ideas here.

So now who is going to start building to try some of these out? Seems like that is the next logical step in the process.

Craig, Sorry if I came across wrong, did not mean to. The "my dog's better than your dog" comment was only refering to that near the end of the topic there appeared to be references suggesting that all of you folks efforts were not really needed because this one existing system was all anybody neede...

One thing to ALWAYS remember when splitting wood. Split in as exact halves as you can. So long as you do this, it should follow the grain perfectly.
