I respect all opinions. If you think Obama has done a good job an should continue, all I can say is " A little knowledge is dangerous thing" Joe

3 piece tops

In the process of building a weissenborn guitar. Would like input on using a 3 piece top. I have some great, really old quarter sawn mahogany, but only five inches wide. Top would be in 3 pieces. I have no experience in this sort of thing and I have the greatest respect for the members of this forum...

Re: My Latest Lattice Guitar

Great guitar, great sound. One question. The top appears to be glued solid to the Baltic birch plywood frame? Thanks Joe

Re: SCALE LENGTH

I'm sorry for the confusion that I have caused. I have put tape over my "caps lock" key and will try not to abbreviate again. I am so impressed with the knowledge and skills of all the members. I just want everyone to know that I really appreciate and value your opinions and help. I will be off line...

Re: SCALE LENGTH

Thanks for all the help. I think 27 inches is what I'll go with. I'm a little gun shy about posting, so I hope this reply is ok.. Thanks again Joe :D

Re: Rope Binding

Thanks to all for your tips and suggestions for rope binding. I know it will be some what of a task, but I'm going to go with it. Allen the tip about using veneer strips to help hold everything together, kind of puts my mind at ease, when it comes time to bend.
