I suspect StewMac is repositioning itself a bit under its new ownership. Guitar making has become more accessible as a hobby, partly due to all the YouTube channels focused on it. Perhaps StewMac can see more money in selling in bigger volumes to hobbyists but at a lower price. It has ramped up its ...

Slow hand — very slow hand — 'luthier'

I started my first guitar build in 1997 with the purchase of some timber from an online supplier in Tasmania (I think), a plan and a radius beam from Stewmac, and a saw and some sandpaper from Mitre 10.

Another six months and I reckon I will be done. Can't wait to get started on Number 2.
