Could it be that the second clip guitar is tuned down a tone, hence the need for the capo on the second fret, results in less string tension and thus drives the sound board a little less? This would seen to produce a more"mellow" tone or less "bright" sound if you like. Perhaps due to less of the od...

I agree. I thought that I'd add the electrician thing to cover my self and the owners of the forum just in case some bunny fried himself by having a go at the 240v stuff. Every one needs a friendly electrician to look over things before they go bang.

Thanks to all for the guidance on making a thermostat for the heat blanket. Here is my take based on the LMI version. Please get an electrician to wire yours up for you. My Set of books arrived the other day. Content is fantastic. Sadly, my postie left them just inside the gate....in the rain. Volume 1 is fine...Vol 2 water damaged.... :evil: Its still drying out with water absorbing paper between each page. But...still reads very well. Well done Gerard and Trevor, ...
