I am going to try f=140 on my next Tenor Ukuleles.
The last batch I did had a T(1,1)1 around 179 and a T(1,1)2 around 357
and don't sound bad at all.

I would be tempted to use medium CA glue. This is from another forum to glue a bridge on a Formica top: use just enough CA to cover the bottom of the bridge so there will be minimal squeeze out. glue it like you would with regular clamps and wood glue making sure to clean off any squeez out with pap...
