Its Jake everyone :D Yes i have the cumpiano book, must have missed the bit about the 1/4 inch offset. The side profile tapers towards the headblock, in which the headblock follows the same taper. Dont have acces to a radius dish, with the soundboard i only arched the x braces which worked for me, b...

hey everyone, thankyou for the great response! I do plan to slightly dome the soundboard, but dont have access to a radius dish nor the time, unless its totally necessary. My back and soundboard pieces were already joined by Tim so i dont have a shooting board either. Forgive me for my ignorance if ...

soundboard bracing

Or do they all have different offsets? also, i guess its too late if i have done this wron...

I think ill glue the first piece down, and then with the second carve it using the same idea as the cole clark headstocks. Hey trusty guitar making maestros :), i have recently come over a minor dilemma, i have just a term to finish the bulk work of my guitar, and am only up to the early stages of body work. By this stage (not having had a guitar mould at the start) the prebent sides have relaxed a fair bit, to the poin...

slight miscalculation

hey everyone, im a fair way into making my guitar neck, and have just realised i calculated for the nut to be located on the flat part of the neck, just before the angle starts. Is this a problem? will it work the same notched into the flat part?

cheers
