Re: Col Finley special guitar
Cool. Nice prize for someone. For what it's worth, it looks like Blackwood to me. I've handled plenty of material I know to be Blackwood that has looked just like that. It is a highly variable timber. Cheers, Jeremy. Thanks Jeremy. The guy I got it from was sure it was Blackwood. I had to really ov...

Re: Pickups??
I use mainly K and K western pad type transducer systems on my builds....they don't have the quacky sound that alot of under saddle piezo pickups have. My last build was fitted with a Fishman Elipse system which has an under saddle pickup and a mini mike. It sounded ok with only the saddle pick up ...

Re: Multiscale Gore OM - Finished!

I`m sure i`ll face many challenges.
On the scale length's you've chosen, what approximate strength increased have you applied for braces compared to a say 25" scale.
Thanks

Those who purchase his pre order for new CD go into the draw to win this guitar. Soundboard; Sitka Spruce Back and side; Unknown. I was told it was Blackwood b...

Re: Rose Maple and Walnut Dreadnought.
Hi Richard. I have experimented with neck profile and wanted to do something different with the heal. just started carving and ended up with this. Feels unusual when first start to play but actually feels extremely comfortable once you sit and play for a bit. This is my first attempt at side sound p...

Rose Maple and Walnut Dreadnought.
I`ve called this my campfire guitar. kept it simple. I wanted to create a look of a guitar that one could chuck in the ute and not worry about being knocked around and still have something that sounds and plays great. It's a bit rough around the edges so to speak. light sand then finished with a bur...

Father - Daughter Build.
My Daughter Was showing an interest in playing guitar and as a result was playing mine. I suggested we build one together. So the deal is that when she gives me some time we work on her guitar together. I didn't want to end up doing it all for her. So far we have the body complete with the binding c...
