Here are a couple that I've found usefull and reasonably easily set up by someone of your experience. Sharpening station, Shooting board, and assembly table. Primary bench made from reclaimed building timbers.

I'd say make a few of your own. Plenty of kits and blade sets out there. Ron Hock has one, Terry Gordon has them. Lie-Nielsen has floats and blades. The proper thing to do with precious off cuts.

I'm only worried about the guitar. Of any place to display the thing I thought this would be the place to share something so unique. It seems to be the right place for that.

I'm a little worried that I've had no comments here as this guitar is made from a smoking hot piece of Bubinga and has been plecked by Sydney Guitar Setups. It won't happen again. Cheers.

Three string tuned GDg. A bit of Crop Circle geometry inlaid into some White Bait Huon Pine. Belah fingerboard. Orion constellation at the twelfth fret. Because I don't mind a bit of Elmore James on a Sunday morning.

For the absolute best in hand plane sharpening instruction, go to Lie-Nielsen and ask for David Charlesworth's video; "Hand Plane Sharpening." That is a lovely plane and deserves the best!

Nice one Luke. The scale length on my three string bass is 24 3/4" guitar scale tuned ADG with heavy gauge flat wound jazz guitar strings .050, .040, and .030 from Thomastik-Infell.

Last one for now. Southern Cross constellation inlaid at the twelfth fret. Silver Ash body with Brazilian Rosewood fretboard. Have a look!

I know, I'm gushing! The Silver Ash came to me as a set of bookshelves covered in lead based white enamel paint. Ruined my planer blades, but we win. The pickups are handwired and signed by Jason Lollar over in Seattle. Cheers Freddy.

Some more fun with box guitars. The 1-5-1 interval is so conducive to country blues. The music of Charlie Patton is much more alive and well on a box guitar that you've made yourself.

In the tradition of folk instruments made from wooden boxes, I came up with this bit of fun. Fairly pleased with the overall result, but I had to make another bridge to raise the action a touch. Plays and sounds like an acoustic bass. Have a look!
