I'm trying to figure out a good method of measuring resonant frequencies of open plates or closed boxes. I have both Sound Forge and VA and can capture the "taps" in each. I did that once and had good results grafting in a new piece. I carefully used a gouged and cleaned out the dent, then used the same gouge to slice out a graft from a cutoff that was fairly close in grain. Sealed and superglued it in. I'm getting ready to start my first falcate classical (EIR/Engleman) and am looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I used the laminated bridge on the Classical I just finished and really like it.

Forgive me if this is posting a dumb question, but how on earth do you carve one?
I've got one that I purchased that is held in place by suction cups on the side. Love it for comfort (the edges really irritate my forearms) and can just pop it on and off. It's a Plenosom.
