Re: Im not going to say a thing, but WTF

Quite simply there is no way "someone" was having a bad day. At least we are clear through to "manufacturer" now.

Re: Im not going to say a thing, but WTF

Perhaps there is some confusion between "builder" and "marketer". No bona-fide builder would market that under their own name.

Re: Im not going to say a thing, but WTF

Perhaps 'persons unknown' cobbled together stuff from the Martin reject skip?
Price you can pay for buying sight unseen.
With the full Martin blessing the prices are 4k and 12k but that instrument is not a signed out Martin.

Re: Cross cut sled

Don't blame me if you can't find the '99', got one meself and don't need another - plus too far to travel to swipe it:)

Pardon the presumption on your addy.

Re: Im not going to say a thing, but WTF

Don't know the tuning but the temperament is 'unusual' and would not suit your usual standard six-string tuning but ..

Pins and break angle look out but that can be in the pic process?

"I may be way, way off the mark here, but...
Could you cut off a slice then drown it in thin CA??
Or is it even to green for that?"

Slice and PEG may do the trick. Might limit your finish options though.

Re: Adhesive advice

Beg pardon Martin I took it you were sticking two 450mm x 1000mm pieces of 16mm MDF together to make a 32mm thick top and the glue would have been on 'face' sides.

How does a slab of 5/8" thick glued-up sawdust or woodchip random weave stuff with no grain warp? Not of it's own accord methinks. :?

Re: Adhesive advice

PVA+: such as Selleys Aquadhere Exterior? Has worked with MDF and flooring for worktops here.
Possibly not much different to Titebond?
No idea on price differential.
